open-vm-tools 12.2.5 was released on June 13, 2023.

There are no new features in the open-vm-tools 12.2.5 release. This is primarily a maintenance release that addresses a single critical problem:

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.
