epel9 already has python-flit-3.4.0-1.el9 which builds python3-flit-core-3.4.0-1.el9.noarch.rpm Turns out awscli2 needs a newer flit-core (>- 3.7.1); I've modified the request accordingly and taken it. This builds fine (flit itself needs to be upgraded of course) with a minor patch to require tomli on RHEL < 10 (the automatic BR did not catch this) but given the DNS outage I can't put up the PR yet I don't think it's smart to branch and build python-flit-core in epel9. It might be easier to simply update python-flit instead if it is backwards compatible. Or update and then split it the way Fedora has split it. Either way, please coordinate this with @gotmax23 rather than pushing directly. Ack. Will update this and python-flit in combination - but definitely will put up PRs rather than landing this directly. |
