(In reply to Tuan Hoang from comment #0) > Description of problem: > > I am testing gcc-toolset-11 on EL8.8 and it appears that the latest binutils > package is not available. Will you be porting the fixes from EL8.6 EUS to > EL8.8? > > Currently available: > gcc-toolset-11-binutils-2.36.1-2.el8 > > https://git.centos.org/rpms/gcc-toolset-11-binutils/releases Do you need this version in CentOS 8 Stream, or in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8? Thanks for clarifying. I would like the fixed build into RHEL 8.8. FWIW I was checking for differences in gcc-toolset-11/12 between Rocky Linux 8.8 (my build system) and RHEL 8.8 (customer build system). I noticed that one package was different and reported it to Rocky Linux bug tracker. They suggested I ask Red Hat if they will port the fix to RHEL 8.8 and referenced that CentOS Git repo. Please open a support case at: https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/ Customer Support will gather relevant support data and determine if a package update needs to be issued. |
