Hi,

I would recommend looking for remains of hplip installation from the website - I don't get crash on my laptop (although I don't have a device supported by it - IIUC hp-uiscan is not GUI scanning tool for every HP devices, but only for several selected, which is not my HP printer) when hplip and hplip-gui are installed.

The error it reports indicates 'utils' is None, so the import failed, which does not happen with hplip installed from Fedora repos.
