Description Dora O’Fee 2023-07-01 14:51:45 UTC
Please branch and build musl in epel8.

If you do not wish to maintain musl in epel8,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS dorafee);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/<package>/adduser

FWIW, we tried building the Fedora package on rhel8, and were met with error during the following check when using the gcc wrapper for skalibs:

>socket_lib=`detectlibs lsock -lsocket -lnsl` || fail "$0: unable to determine required linker flags for socket functions"

But we were able to pass this check when using a locally built rpm for 1.2.4.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.
