I'm seeing this problem also, and it is specific to the 6.5.5-200 kernel; booting an older 6.4-based kernel (6.4.14-200 or 6.4.15-200) works fine.

The only clue I can find so far is that the Synaptics driver is no longer found by X11 when I try to log in. This results in a blank screen, and a reboot is then required to get the system back. LightDM and XFCE are trying to start, but failing due to something missing.

This is on a Lenovo T14 ThinkPad (AMD Ryzen) with AMD/ATI Rembrandt (Radeon 680M). This started two days ago when I did 'dnf upgrade' for f38 and got the new kernel; up until then, the laptop has run Fedora without problem for several years.
