"CentOS Stream moves faster than RHEL, so it might not be on HEAD, but the code is there. If you can’t find it, it’s a bug – please let us know."

The version strings will never exactly match up, because CentOS Stream 8 is tracking the next minor release of RHEL 8 (8.9 at this time) and the version of the package in there has to be newer than what's in currently released RHEL 8. Even if both are at 7.0.107, RHEL 8 will call it something like -7.0.107-1.el8_8 while CentOS Stream 8 will call it something like -7.0.107-2.el8.

That said, I have updated the centos stream 8 git repository to the 7.0.108, matching the latest version in RHEL 8.8.z.
