Hello,

I've noticed lately that the output sounds balance of my external audio interface
(Scarlett 2i2) is at times inadvertently modified, sometimes left channel is more
loud, some other timers the right channel. I'm testing this with any mono sample
played through the speakers. After changing it back via gnome-settings Sound interface
it is usually stable for a while before becoming again skewed.

Another things worth noticing is that after adjusting the balance, if I close gnome
settings Sound and then reopen it the balance bar is set in the middle (as it should
be) even if I left it set to the left (or the right) to correct the imbalance before
closing the settings application.

Thus I'm filing this under gnome-settings-daemon, feel free to reassign appropriately.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Notice the unbalance by playing a mono test sound
2. Open Gnome settings Sound and adjust the balance to taste
3. After a while output sounds is back at being unbalanced


Expected Results:  
Output balance shouldn't change inadvertently.
