Description Kevin Fenzi 2023-07-06 22:41:04 UTC
calibre has recently moved to requiring podofo 0.10.1 in their pdf wrapper.

It would be great if we could upgrade the fedora package.

It may well also close a bunch of security bugs that have been lingering here for a while?

Happy to help...

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Sandro Mani 2023-07-07 09:57:31 UTC
It is on my radar, but I'd need to port gImageReader first. Unfortunately, porting from podofo 0.9.x to 0.10.x is not really trivial.

Comment 2 Sandro Mani 2023-07-19 09:55:24 UTC
I've ported gImageReader, checked the status of other dependent packages here [1]. Looks like the following needs to be ported as well:

- scribus: upstream has added PoDoFo-0.10 detection support in cmake, but the code itself still seems to expect 0.9.x
- vfrnav: no upstream porting effort to 0.10
- pdfsign: no upstream porting effort to 0.10
