Description Vidushi Mishra 2023-07-11 09:05:25 UTC
Description of problem:

When creating an erasure-code profile, the values of K+M and the number of osd_nodes decide the 'failure domain'.

For example, if we deploy the ceph cluster on 4 nodes with EC(4+2)pool, an alert to choose failure_domain as 'osd' instead of 'host' should be raised, since deploying the cluster pools with 'host' failure_domain in such case would lead to reduced data availability and inactive pgs.
