Description Lee Dan 2023-07-19 10:30:57 UTC
Qt 6 has the same variable fonts render problem as fixed in Qt 5 month ago, ref https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2179854

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.update fedora 38 to latest version to install Noto CJK VF fonts
2.Switch desktop to use Chinese locale or set LANG and LC_ALL to use Chinese locale
3.Install and Launch mediawriter, and the "选择源镜像" text becomes very thick
Actual Results:
The rendering result is thicker than the normal Noto CJK fonts, and hard to read.

Expected Results:
The rendering result is the same as the normal Noto CJK fonts.

problem found in telegram-desktop from rpmfusion, and then confirmed in fedora media writer from system.

the patch from 2179854, may be applied to Qt 6 with minor fix, for relative files just moved to src/gui/text and relative logic unmodified.
