Description Geetika Kapoor 2023-07-24 14:10:00 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently we don't have a mechanism in place to check if iso a user is supplying is appropriate for the pipelines and matches the criteria we look for(possibly checking hash/checksum)
Reason, I vote for it as it will help to reduce support cases and we know at a very early stage if iso is a problem rather than finding it out later.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.14

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Take a bad iso and it triggers pipeline and we get to know mostly during VMI starting and then we see VM stays.
2.
3.

Actual results:
We spend lot of time in trying to understand why pipeline is not working

Expected results:
if ISO is not supported, get it checked at very startup and avoid support cases and spending time on failures in that area.
