Please fix st at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
st will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 40,
st will be retired, if it still fails to build.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.

What is the state of st in Fedora? F39 still carries the F38 build 0.9-2.fc38.
OTOH, st-0.9-3 (the mass rebuild bump) builds as is in rawhide as well as F39:

So, a simple "fedpkg build" in rawhide and f39 should do.
