.NET 8 for RHEL 8

The next major release of .NET will be .NET 8. .NET 8 will be a Long Term Support (LTS) release, and will be supported for around 3 years. Preview releases of .NET 8 are available and we plan to add those to RHEL before the .NET GA. The GA release of .NET 8 is expected to be released around November 2023 (based on release dates of previous .NET releases).

.NET 8 will not replace the existing versions of .NET in RHEL 8. NET 8 will provide an additional set of packages that users can install in addition to (and in parallel with) the existing .NET packages in RHEL 8.
