Description Atticus Finch 2023-08-08 07:00:34 UTC
Description of problem:
SELinux is preventing 5 from 'getattr' accesses on the file /var/snap/cups/common/etc/papersize.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **************************

If you believe that 5 should be allowed getattr access on the papersize file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c '5' --raw | audit2allow -M my-5
# semodule -X 300 -i my-5.pp

I am having the same issue. I was installing software packages using the Discover program on Fedora 39 Workstation Edition, which uses the Kernel Version 6.2.9-300.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit), KDE Plasma Version 5.27.9, KDE Frameworks Version 5.111.0, Qt Version 5.15.11, and Graphics Platform X11.

I was installing the FreeCAD software packages from the Discover program and an error message appeared, which said; "Unexpected response 'sync' returned for async request". I have no idea what caused this, however, it seems to be
related to snappy software packages.
