Even after updating my Fedora 38 and getting a microcode_ctl update, I had to manually run sudo dracut /boot/initramfs-6.4.10-200.fc38.x86_64.img --force or else, cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/gather_data_sampling would still show me as vulnerable (after a reboot, of course). FEDORA-2023-10d34be85a has been pushed to the Fedora 37 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. |
