Calamares will be used for the Fedora Asahi Remix KDE variant's firstboot service for the time being. In order to do so, some fixes need to be backported to correctly work on Apple Silicon Macs.

Without the patches, it can't configure the system correctly.


The upstream patches in question come from the following pull requests:

Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 39-beta by Fedora user ngompa using the blocker tracking app because:

 This is needed for the Fedora Asahi Remix KDE variant to have a working firstboot service.
