Description Eric Helms 2023-09-27 17:41:02 UTC
Kafo 7.1.0 (unreleased at the moment) has started to capture Puppet reports. This allows showing the failed resources which makes it easier to troubleshoot failures. Ideally speaking the user doesn't have to open the installer log anymore and the regular installer command is sufficient.

Comment 1 Eric Helms 2023-09-27 17:41:05 UTC
Created from redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/36694

Comment 2 Eric Helms 2023-09-27 17:41:06 UTC
Upstream bug assigned to ekohlvan

Comment 3 Brad Buckingham 2023-10-30 11:29:29 UTC
Bulk setting Target Milestone = 6.15.0 where sat-6.15.0+ is set.

Comment 4 Radek Mynar 2024-01-22 15:36:00 UTC
Installer prints more detailed information on error (e.g. migration failure, problem installing packages, ...). This can be used for troubleshooting. Full logs are still available in logfile.

VERIFIED with Satellite 6.15 SNAP7 @ RHEL8.9
