Is the bluez-obexd package installed? I've never used KDE so I'm not sure what application is used for send files and if it uses the bluetooth obex protocol underneath. Maybe that package needs a dependency on bluez-obexd Interesting. No it is not, this system info output is a small tool I made and it implementes a "rpm -qa | grep $1". I am using Fedora Kinoite, so if the installation of that package fixes that I will request it to be added So it should be pulled in by what ever app is used to do the transfer, can you provide the name of the KDE App that does it? It works normally, at least solving this bug, when adding the package. I will request it to be included in Kinoite (and thus also in Ublue etc.). So actually downstream, special case here. I think you've misunderstood me. If the package in KDE that uses obex is fixed to add the required dependency it won't need a fix in Kinote as it will be pulled into Kinote automatically and not require a special fix. Oh, okay! bluez-libs-5.70-1.fc38.x86_64 bluez-5.70-1.fc38.x86_64 kf5-bluez-qt-5.110.0-1.fc38.x86_64 bluez-cups-5.70-1.fc38.x86_64 bluedevil-5.27.8-1.fc38.x86_64 NetworkManager-bluetooth-1.42.8-1.fc38.x86_64 bluez-obexd-5.70-1.fc38.x86_64 These are my currently installed packages. I guess either "kf5-bluez-qt" or "bluedevil" should bet that as dependency then. But it is no dependency actually, its just needed for that one feature. Can a package be a dependency of "dolphin+bluez" ? The functionality is in bluedevil so I'm moving the issue there as they will know what their deps are. This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
