Description Ian McInerney 2023-12-30 15:42:09 UTC
I have a new AMD Zen 4 processor, and support for that was only just added in rr 5.7.0 (reported upstream in https://github.com/rr-debugger/rr/issues/3390). rr 5.7.0 seems to be only in F40, but not F39. Please build rr 5.7.0 for F39 as an update to let it work on the newer processors.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run rr on a new AMD Zen 4 processor (e.g. Ryzen 7 7900)
2. See rr give the error
"[FATAL src/PerfCounters_x86.h:114:compute_cpu_microarch()] AMD CPU type 0x60f10 (ext family 0xa) unknown"
