This is only relevant when using your Smartphone with the App as a card Reader:

I just want to document here that I get failures every time with the default App setting ("Enter PIN on this device" OFF).

Once you set it to on it works fine, I'm happy with this workaround it just would be nice to have known that before the frustrating errors.

This is caused by Fedora's OpenSSL not supporting explicit elliptic curves. See the duplicate bug for the details.
