This is a tracking bug for Change: Build Fedora Cloud Edition Images Using Kiwi in Koji

Fedora Cloud Edition images will be built with Kiwi, which will replace the unmaintained ImageFactory tooling that is currently being used to build the cloud base images.

Hi David,

Were passed the Testable deadline for changes and I am doing a check in on all F40 changes to see whether they are still on track to land or not. Have you any update(s) to share on the progress of this change?

This has been dependent on infrastructure changes. I believe the kiwi plugin for koji is getting deployed with the koji upgrade, and then the pungi changes need to land after that so we can update the fedora pungi config accordingly: https://pagure.io/pungi/pull-request/1720

This is done. We are shipping Beta with Kiwi-produced Cloud and Container images.

F40 was released on 2024-04-23, so I am closing this tracker. If this Change was not completed, please notify me ASAP.
