Description shollander1 2024-01-26 17:13:33 UTC
Please add LXQt to EPEL9.
Other major versions of Linux have support for LXQt.
I would really like to use LXQt with EL9, but I can't since there is no current support for it.
I also think it would help with user adoption if a major version of Linux such as RHEL had support for it.

Thank you.

The LXQt sig is a very small team of maintainers, and right now we don't have the staff to do the maintenance on the EPEL9 branch.

We do plan on branching LXQt to EPEL 10, but only once the Wayland version is out (and stable). I believe right now the tentative release date for LXQt2 is in october 2024 *knock on wood*
