Description Aoife Moloney 2024-02-08 08:58:26 UTC
This is a tracking bug for Change: Deprecate_ntlm_in_cyrus_sasl
For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Deprecate_ntlm_in_cyrus_sasl

NTLM has been deprecated for years and is obsolete. Support for it should be removed as a SASL mechanism. This is no longer supported by cyrus-sasl upstream. The cyrus-sasl-ntlm subpackage should be removed.

If you encounter a bug related to this Change, please do not comment here. Instead create a new bug and set it to block this bug.

Comment 1 Adam Williamson 2024-02-21 06:27:16 UTC
Can we have an update on the status of this Change? We are past the "testable" deadline at which it should be implemented sufficiently to be testable. Please set the bug to MODIFIED if it is "testable", or ON_QA if it is "100% complete". Thanks.

Comment 2 Rob Crittenden 2024-02-21 12:56:08 UTC
It has been removed in F40 and rawhide.

Comment 3 Josh Stone 2024-04-01 18:05:36 UTC
Is this ready to be ON_QA?

Comment 4 Rob Crittenden 2024-04-01 18:19:09 UTC
It shipped in F40 in 2.1.28-16 via https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-5902328fbc . I had been holding off on this at the time due to timing and missed it because I was only checking BZ's by component. It released due to an unrelated change.

I think we can mark this as closed.

AIUI, the Change process still holds open in ON_QA until the full release.

Comment 6 Aoife Moloney 2024-04-29 09:29:27 UTC
F40 was released on 2024-04-23, so I am closing this tracker. If this Change was not completed, please notify me ASAP.
