Description of problem:

The latest EPEL8 package for mate-panel (mate-panel-1.26.4-1.el8.x86_64) crashes when trying to add a custom application.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click on Mate panel
2. Add to panel
3. Custom Application Launcher

Actual results:
Panel crash and restart

Downgrading to the previous version works fine.
