A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s nftables sub-component due to a race problem between the set GC and transaction in the Linux Kernel. This flaw allows a local attacker to crash the system. This flaw is similar to the previous CVE-2023-4244 but for a different part of the source code.

Check manually. with impact MODERATE (that is approximation based on flags REMOTE SIMPLEFIX NETFILTER RACE LEAK ; these flags parsed automatically based on patche data). Such automatic check happens only for Low/Moderates (and only when not from reporter, but parsing already existing CVE). Highs always checked manually (I check it myself and then we check it again in Remediation team). In rare cases some of the Moderates could be increased to High later. |
