Description Geraldo Simião 2024-03-18 12:57:44 UTC
It seems that koji didn't succeed to build a LXQT F40 RC iso because ther's none on https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/40_Beta-1.7/Spins/x86_64/iso/

Reproducible: Always

RC1.4 failed too https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=114906605

Comment 1 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2024-03-18 13:04:17 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 40-beta by Fedora user geraldosimiao using the blocker tracking app because:

Ther's no LXQT F40 iso, if it was a blocker image this was a blocker bug, since it isn't I think a FE is just the way to go.

Comment 2 Adam Williamson 2024-03-18 15:17:46 UTC
We don't usually really need bug reports for these, we track them via https://pagure.io/releng/failed-composes - a ticket is filed after every compose, and reports any missing deliverables. For instance, the ticket for the Beta-1.7 candidate is https://pagure.io/releng/failed-composes/issue/6093 , and it shows LXQt as missing:

[LIVE_MEDIA ] [ERROR ] [FAIL] Live media (variant Spins, arch *, subvariant LXQt) failed, but going on anyway.
[LIVE_MEDIA ] [ERROR ] Live media task failed: 115057575. See /mnt/koji/compose/40/Fedora-40-20240317.1/logs/aarch64-x86_64/livemedia-Spins-LXQt.aarch64-x86_64.log for more details.

with a link.

But the bug is not *incorrect*, so let's keep it open since you went to the trouble of filing it.

Discussed during the 2024-03-18 blocker review meeting: [1]

The decision to classify this bug as a AcceptedFreezeException (Beta) was made:

"We usually accept FEs to fix non-blocking image builds, of course this cannot be fixed outside of the freeze and it is a significant benefit to make sure the image is present in Beta."

Comment 4 Kevin Fenzi 2024-03-18 21:51:11 UTC
Pushed a commit to rawhide/f40 that adds 100M space. I think that should be enough to allow it to finish installing/creating initramfs and work.

We will see with the nightlys tonight.

Comment 5 Adam Williamson 2024-03-18 23:29:29 UTC
Let's mark as ON_QA, then. We will probably try a new candidate before we find out from the nightlies whether that fixed it, though.

Where to find latest nightlys?

Well, compose has failed generally yet for a bunch of livemedia builds in an early step with kernel-core, not only LXQt related. The current bug title is misleading.

Non interactive installation failed: An error occurred during the transaction: Error in POSTTRANS scriptlet in rpm package kernel-core.

Comment 9 Adam Williamson 2024-03-21 05:44:11 UTC
Let's call it fixed, then.
