Hi Daniel, could you provide a status update on this change please? Changes need to be code complete before we enter beta freeze next Tuesday 27th August. Are you still on track to land this in F41, or do you need to defer to F42? Thanks, Aoife Hi Aoife, sure! Let's defer this to F42 as it's been a bit tricky with Holidays (even with the Flock). The current status it's that while the work itself it's mostly done we still depend on two things: * Add all the licensing to the final package and not only bpfman-cli * Modify the bundled version of fiat-crypto crate. This crate contains implementations of elliptic-curve cryptography that is *NOT* approved to be shipped by Fedora *in any form* (i.e. also not as source code). We aim to modify rust2rpm to support these usecases after Flock and speaking with the rust-sig group, so we'll delay to 42 given the dates, thanks! Thanks for the confirmation Daniel, I've retargeted the tracker bug to F42 and updated the change proposal. Will check back in early in F42 release cycle on how things are coming. Thanks again! https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2269411 FEDORA-2024-5814c2fd6d (bpfman-0.5.4-2.fc42) has been pushed to the Fedora 42 stable repository. |
