Description Aoife Moloney 2024-04-12 23:29:49 UTC
This is a tracking bug for Change: Enable Consistent Device Naming in Cloud Images
For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/EnableConsistentDeviceNamingCloud

This proposal aims to remove the net.ifnames=0 kernel command line entry from the Fedora cloud kickstarts so that consistent device naming is enabled for cloud instances. This change brings Fedora Cloud in line with Fedora Server, Workstation, and CoreOS.

If you encounter a bug related to this Change, please do not comment here. Instead create a new bug and set it to block this bug.

Hi Major, could you provide a status update on this change please? Changes need to be code complete before we enter beta freeze next Tuesday 27th August. Are you still on track to land this in F41, or do you need to defer to F42?

Thanks,
Aoife

Oh my, this was done months ago but I neglected to update the ticket. 🤦‍♂️ Thank you for the reminder.
