Description Adam Williamson 2024-04-13 01:57:31 UTC
alsa-sof-firmware-2024.03-2.fc39 has gone stable for Fedora 39. This has broken upgrades to Fedora 40:

2024-04-12T21:29:31-0400 CRITICAL Transaction couldn't start:
2024-04-12T21:29:31-0400 CRITICAL file /usr/lib/firmware/intel/sof-ace-tplg from install of alsa-sof-firmware-2023.12.1-1.fc40.noarch conflicts with file from package alsa-sof-firmware-2024.03-2.fc39.noarch

we need to update alsa-sof-firmware to 2024.03-2.fc40 in Fedora 40 to resolve this. Proposing as a Final blocker, as it breaks all upgrades.
