Hi,

I saw this triggered by the latest gdk-pixbuf2 update to 2.42.11-1.fc40 - do you have the build on your system?

Downgrading gdk-pixbuf2 should fix the issue.

I've found the culprit, since Claws Mail is affected, too, with icons missing and an intercepted backtrace when starting it from a terminal.

This uncommented commit removed the XPM loader (= others):

A bad idea to commit such a change without a proper commit message/explanation.
Please don't do that. Sum up your spec file changes that affect a build.

Thanks for confirming.  The handling of the change was indeed suboptimal; see discussion in bug 2276464, bug 2276661, and this fedora-devel thread: <https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/WXGFAXQAVMIKPU6KPW7ZWY2RQEOY276Y/>.  If claws-mail needs the XPM loader, it'll need to add "Requires: gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra" in F41+.

For xsane this should already be fixed in F41/F42, so I'll close.
