Description Neil Darlow 2024-05-10 12:55:42 UTC
After updating from fedora Workstation 39 Cinnamon to Workstation 40 Cinnamon the Preferences (Settings) feature no longer has Online Accounts present.

Google Account credentials are often upgraded to a new generation and require re-entry but without this feature the account is rendered inoperative.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade fedora Workstation 39 Cinnamon to Workstation 40 Cinnamon.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The Online Accounts feature is missing from the Preferences Menu and Settings application.

Expected Results:
Online Accounts availability should be preserved over the upgrade.

It was removed as it wasn't compatible with f40 gtk4 basd gnome-online-accounts.
I'm currently waiting for someone to review this request, see

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2271140

There is an automated copr for f40 there that should work ok.

Thank you, Scott.

I can confirm the package in the COPR repository works as expected.
