A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in the powerpc/32 kernel code for handling vmap stack overflows, where a hard lockup is possible because the emergency_ctx structure is referenced using its virtual address, although the data MMU is not active anymore at that time. The vulnerability could lead to system instability and memory corruption.
