RHEL 8 / EPEL 8 doesn't provide the same Rust packaging toolchain as Fedora and RHEL 9 / EPEL 9. i.e. importing the EPEL 9 package into EPEL 8 doesn't produce a working package. I'll look into creating a separate package for EPEL 8 when I have the time. Got it, thanks for the update. Looking forward to any progress on the EPEL 8 package.
