when using rsh to remote shell from one server to another server, we get the following error message:

poll: protocol failure in circuit setup

after about a dozen successfull attempts. After getting this error message, rsh no longer works.

Notes:

We have 4 linux boxes we are using a script to rsh into to check to see if the database that reside
on them are up.

If we rsh from linux-1 about a dozen times to linux-3 in succession, we are successfull. After the
dozen time, we get the error message:

poll: protocol failure in circuit setup

All other servers are fine -- just linux-1 has this problem.

rsh version = rsh-0.16-12

Could you try the latest version from Rawhide and check if that problem still
occurs?

If not i'd like to close this bug, otherwise i probably need more information.
