Description Alex Stupnikov 2024-06-04 08:45:25 UTC
Description of problem:
The partner, VAST Data, contacted RHOSP Manila folks and our PM over email regarding supporting their storage system (Vast Data) with Red Hat OpenStack Manila on RHOSP 17.1.

At this point partner has Manila fork to implement support of their storage system https://github.com/vast-data/manila. Next steps are to submit the driver upstream, and contact Red Hat engineering to backport the driver when the submission has been accepted.

We will work on the backport, and update the RFEs so that they can keep track of the progress as well as the exact timeline/release stream that the driver will be available with.
