Description Jan Kurik 2024-06-07 07:06:57 UTC
Man page of the new pmcheck tool conflicts with already present man page of perl-pmtools.

The rpmdeplint for Fedora-41 provides the following erroro message:
pcp-doc-6.2.2-2.fc41.noarch provides /usr/share/man/man1/pmcheck.1.gz which is also provided by perl-pmtools-2.2.0-21.fc40.noarch

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
# yum install -y pcp-doc-6.2.2-2.fc41.noarch perl-pmtools

Actual Results:
  - file /usr/share/man/man1/pmcheck.1.gz conflicts between attempted installs of pcp-doc-6.2.2-2.fc41.noarch and perl-pmtools-2.2.0-21.fc40.noarch

Expected Results:
Both packages are installed without any conflict

Additional information:
AFAIK affects only Fedora. RHEL is not affected as perl-pmtools is not distributed with RHEL.
