Description jiipee 2024-06-11 10:24:04 UTC
Hello, I have few Hyper-V vm's running fedora 40 with KDE. After upgrade to
xorg-x11-server-Xwayland 24.1.0 system boots to SDDM fine but when I login to plasma, everything just hang. I cannot switch even console view. SSH access still works.

If I downgrade to 23.2.4-3.fc40 then everything works fine again.

I have done test with clean install from fedora 40 KDE image and when I do system upgrade to latest packets it will hang and downgrading this one packet will resume normal operation.

So this is not issue with my ancient VM, it also happens to fresh install.

Reproducible: Always

Forgot to mention that I have not tested this bare metal system. Only at Hyper-V enviroment running under Windows 11

Most likely a dupe of bug 2284141 - You may want to try the scratch build I posted there.

Comment 3 jiipee 2024-06-11 11:44:53 UTC
Yup seems to be same issue and that scratch build fixes it.

Thanks for confirming!
