Description Xavier Bachelot 2024-09-01 13:11:27 UTC
Hi,

Could you please branch and build perl-Apache-Session-Browseable for EPEL 10 ?
I would need it to build another package.

If you don't want or have time to maintain this package in EPEL, I'd be glad
to be added to the package so I can take care of it.
Indeed, I can help with maintaining this in Fedora too.
My FAS username is xavierb.

Regards,
Xavier

In addition to perl-Apache-Session, which may have an issue with libdb, this one requires perl-Redis, which requires redis, which is not in EL-10. I'm not interested in maintaining either perl-Redis or redis myself, so those issues need resolving before I can move forward on this one.

redis is being replaced by valkey for F41. valkey would thus likely be a better target for EPEL 10. I have no idea if perl-Redis would build against valkey (or valkey-compat) though.

Perhaps raise a branch and build request for perl-Redis and see what the maintainer(s) thinks?
