I'll note that Fedora packages really shouldn't depend on pytest-cov - coverage tests should be disabled for Fedora packages. I understand that we shall stop adding dependencies on this package for building other fedora packages. However please note that in my case I also need python3-pytest-cov for developers in my company, as we do test coverage and we do plan to migrate to RHEL 10 once it will be released. @chedi toueiti: friendly ping for this request ;) With all dependencies available, this packages now builds fine in EPEL 10 when using the source code from the rawhide branch. If someone wants to add me (orion) or @epel-packagers-sig to the package I can branch and build it if no one else wants to. Chedi seems unresponsive on all the tickets assigned to him. I know Khaleb is willing to use the EPEL stalled procedure to gain EPEL access in python-pkgconfig currently blocking python-lz4. Most likely we should try the same procedure for this package too. Please branch and build python-pytest-cov in epel10. If you do not wish to maintain python-pytest-cov in epel10, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-pytest-cov/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches. I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: orion). From what I see, the EPEL packagers SIG already has commit access to this repository (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-pytest-cov), however only the commit right, not the admin role, and I am not sure this is enough to create a new EPEL 10 branch. Hi, Here it seems Chedi is globally non-responsive as seen in other packages. If the rights currently assigned to the EPEL packager SIG are not enough, shall we start the EPEL stalled package procedure ? Will you be able to branch and build python-pytest-cov in epel10? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel10. (Sorry for lagging on the stalled package request) I guess we can progress on the stalled package request in this bugzilla. FEDORA-EPEL-2025-bb394cd4c7 (python-pytest-cov-5.0.0-1.el10_0) has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 10.0. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2025-bb394cd4c7 FEDORA-EPEL-2025-bb394cd4c7 (python-pytest-cov-5.0.0-1.el10_0) has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 10.0 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. The needinfo request[s] on this closed bug have been removed as they have been unresolved for 120 days |
