Inter font family should be updated to version 4.1. The version available to download at the Software Center in the Fonts category is the version 4.0. Version 4.1 is a mayor update for Inter. It includes a lot of bug fixes (see https://github.com/rsms/inter/releases/tag/v4.1)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the Software Center and choose the Add-ons category.
2. In the Add-ons category, choose Fonts category.
3. Download the Inter font family.
Actual Results:  
Inter font family available for download is version 4.0.

Expected Results:  
Inter font family available for download should be the version 4.1.

Thanks for a bug report. The gnome-software only shows what respective repositories contain. To ask for an update of a certain package you might file a bug against that package instead. I guess the fonts you are talking about are packages as the rsms-inter-fonts, thus I move this there.

Please update the rsms-inter-fonts package to version 4.1.
