This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 42 development cycle. Changing version to 42. Dear Maintainer, your package has an open Fails To Build From Source bug for Fedora 42. Action is required from you. If you can fix your package to build, perform a build in koji, and either create an update in bodhi, or close this bug without creating an update, if updating is not appropriate [1]. If you are working on a fix, set the status to ASSIGNED to acknowledge this. If you have already fixed this issue, please close this Bugzilla report. Following the policy for such packages [2], your package will be orphaned if this bug remains in NEW state more than 8 weeks (not sooner than 2025-01-27). A week before the mass branching of Fedora 43 according to the schedule [3], any packages not successfully rebuilt at least on Fedora 41 will be retired regardless of the status of this bug. This is a bulk comment. This package still needs to be rebuilt and/or shipped with Python 3.14.0rc2+ bytecode in Fedora 43. The Beta Freeze of Fedora 43 is scheduled to start today. Please prioritize this bugzilla accordingly. Thanks. I orphaned this package by the rules described in https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs https://pagure.io/releng/issue/12916 I don't know what this package does specifically but I do care about and co-maintain trash-cli which depends on it... FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00 (python-zope-exceptions-5.2-1.fc43) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 43. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00 FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00 has been pushed to the Fedora 43 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates. @Miro I see you reopened this issue, my best guess is you want to have it open until it lands in f43 for tracking the Python binary code rebuild? I was actually wondering if that is important enough to apply for a freeze exception, what do you think? > I see you reopened this issue, my best guess is you want to have it open until it lands in f43 for tracking the Python binary code rebuild? Indeed. > I was actually wondering if that is important enough to apply for a freeze exception, what do you think? I don't think so, and the QA folks don't think so, see https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/1886#comment-984018 FEDORA-2025-a6520cbb00 (python-zope-exceptions-5.2-1.fc43) has been pushed to the Fedora 43 stable repository.
