Description rhel-process-autobot 2024-12-02 17:57:00 UTC

Comment 1 rhel-process-autobot 2024-12-02 17:57:04 UTC
This issue is purely informational, you do not need to take any action. Thank you for your work maintaining xxhash in EPEL 10. Red Hat considers this package important enough to promote it to official RHEL. It will be part of RHEL 10.0. Please do not update xxhash in EPEL 10 so the RHEL version can have a higher version and release. When RHEL 10.0 is released, EPEL automation will remove xxhash from EPEL 10 and close this bug.

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2024-12-05 16:54:12 UTC
It currently looks like xxhash will be a buildroot only package for RHEL 10.
I will give it another week or two to verify that it doesn't make it's way in due to runtime dependencies, but as it stands now, xxhash will still be part of EPEL10 instead of RHEL10.

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2025-03-28 13:55:27 UTC
It has been several months. It looks like xxhash is going to remain a buildroot-only package.
I am closing this bug.
