Description Michal Szymanski 2007-03-23 14:23:21 UTC
Description of problem:
After a fresh installation including manual choice of packages in available
software groups, the /root/anaconda-ks.cfg file does not contain any individual
packages selected or deselected during the installation. The %packages section
contains only the chosen software groups (lines starting with '@'). This used to
work properly for all RH/FC versions up to FC4. The bug occurs both in original
FC6 installation DVD and in Fedora Unity re-spin 20070111.

Such a anaconda-ks.cfg is practically useless for kickstart installations.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda-11.1.1.3-1.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. do a fresh install, choose individual packages to install/not to install
2.
3.

Actual results:
/root/anaconda-ks.cfg file does not contain any individually chosen packages

Expected results:
/root/anaconda-ks.cfg file should contain names of selected packages (starting
with '-' if deselected) after the software groups in %packages section.

This should be much better in F7.
