I can confirm this with kmymoney using an AMD RX 6700 XT. I found an older forum thread with a similar problem which proposed starting with QMLSCENE_DEVICE=softwarecontext QT_OPENGL=software kmymoney and it indeed is a functioning workaround. QMLSCENE_DEVICE=softwarecontext also seems to work on its own with kmymoney, but there might be programs which need both. Are you using mesa-va-drivers-freeworld? This looks similar to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2338414 Reported to RPMFusion in https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7147 This indeed seems to be the caused by mesa-va-drivers-freeworld I can confirm that with mesa-va-drivers-freeworld the following apps were crashing: kmail, falkon, akonadiconsole. The problem went away when I did "dnf swap mesa-va-drivers-freeworld mesa-va-drivers". A new release of RPM Fusion fixing the issue is available: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-6fbd8f368a#comment-3906418 *** Bug 2338779 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Confirmed duplicate bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2338779 has been resolved by this fix. |
