Description Fedora Release Engineering 2025-01-22 21:09:09 UTC
nwchem failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f42

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=128021380

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_42_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix nwchem at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
nwchem will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 43,
nwchem will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Reported upstream https://github.com/nwchemgit/nwchem/issues/1072

Comment 5 Edoardo Apra 2025-01-25 18:08:07 UTC
It sounds like a bug in the compiler parser to me, confused by the false variable name.
If you replace the false variable name with something else, gcc-15 does not throw an error.
