Description Fedora Release Engineering 2025-01-22 21:59:05 UTC
smf-spf failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f42

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=128148524

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_42_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix smf-spf at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
smf-spf will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 43,
smf-spf will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Jordi Sanfeliu 2025-01-24 13:43:00 UTC
The origin bug is in a Sendmail header:

In file included from smf-spf.c:30:
/usr/include/libmilter/mfapi.h:98:17: error: ‘bool’ cannot be defined via ‘typedef’
   98 | typedef int     bool;
      |                 ^~~~
/usr/include/libmilter/mfapi.h:98:17: note: ‘bool’ is a keyword with ‘-std=c23’ onwards

Once Sendmail fix it, this no longer be a blocker.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 42 development cycle.
Changing version to 42.
