Description Milan Kerslager 2007-03-28 12:20:32 UTC
Graphical installation does not start and text mode is used even the system is
able to work in GUI.

The system has onboar Intel 82815 graphics chip. I had to specify '-depth 16' to
the X server to be able to start without configuration file (error message was
'driver is unable to work in 32 bit depth') so this seems like default builtin
configuration file miss this color depth directive because the X server.

Working xorg.conf

The default color depth in the built-in config file should be 24 as the driver
is able to work in 24 bit depth but not in 32 bit depth (32 bit is the current
default).
