Description Kamil Páral 2025-03-18 11:53:18 UTC
Description of problem:

I believe I created:

vda: biosboot + /boot
vdb: swraid0
vdc: swraid0
swraid0: / + /home

and returned back to anaconda. Then went to cockpit-storage again, removed everything (all disks empty), and tried to return back to anaconda. Then it crashed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda-42.27.3-1.fc42.x86_64

Comment 7 Kamil Páral 2025-03-21 12:58:51 UTC
Since this seems to be a general error in anaconda which crashes when a device is removed (perhaps not just RAID?), proposing as a blocker, possibly against:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_42_Beta_Release_Criteria#Custom_partitioning
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_42_Final_Release_Criteria#Disk_layouts

Comment 8 Kamil Páral 2025-03-21 13:00:44 UTC
Actually this is the same bug as bug 2351830, already proposed as a blocker, so closing as a duplicate.
