Description javiermon 2025-03-24 02:18:02 UTC
After upgrading to fedora 42, mpris-scrobbler no longer works with last.fm, when I try to login to update the token I get this error in last.fm website: Invalid API key. If you are a third party developer see our authentication how-to to find out more

This was working in Fedora 41, so I assume after upgrading to 0.5.6-1 it broke.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install mpris-scrobbler
2. Run: mpris-scrobbler-signon token lastfm
3. The opened url will show a button to grant access to scrobble but when granted it will show the api key error

Expected Results:
When access is granted, mpris-scrobbler is able to scrobble to last.fm

In the logs, you can see this error:

api::submitted_to[last.fm]: nok

Asked upstream for clarification for when new release which incorporates the
fix will be available. If not imminent, I'll patch the current version.
